Hey Johnny,
Do you think it would be possible to add a topic page here on your forum where we as Members can share Saxophone sheet music with other members–great way to encourage each other? I know Jake and another member both recently shared some sheet music for the solo of “Tequila” but it may be hard to find these types of posts over the course of time if they’ve been “buried” among other topics LOL
I was trying to upload sheet music for solo to “Spooky” as played by Mike Shapiro with the Classics IV and it won’t upload right now for some reason, I’ll try again later. It was cool to discover that the original release for this song was actually played on Alto as an Instrumental; I really dig how the organ is played along with it too……could make a great future release to buy from your music selection 🙂
If the file is saved as a jpeg or image file you should be able to use the “choose file” button at the bottom of the page. Not all of Johnny’s pages have that option, that is why I posted it under the “show us your sax” category. Then you could use the snipping tool on the computer to copy the music to print out. By sharing this music, we aren’t violating any copyright infringements are we? If that’s the case, we could email each other upon request.
If we do post music, I agree with Michael, it will easily get buried within these posts. Great idea!
sharing music is ok.
Thanks Jake–now I know why it wouldn’t let me post it. I had simply re-written the sheet music for the solo I had for “Spooky” on sheet music paper with a good black ink pen and was going to post it like that, just as one of the other members did Tequila (I know you posted the solo for Tequila too Jake, very cool of you Jake) because I wasn’t sure about the copyright thing either.
