      Hey Johnny,
😎 I met someone here in NM who is learning to play the Saxophone and he really wanted Samba Pa Ti–wants to learn to play more of your songs too. I bought Samba Pa Ti for him—I have the song on my flash drive of course and have had great fun learning it, but I don’t want you loosing out on $ by simply passing it on to someone for free; to me that would be infringing on your hard work! No way I would do that.
I love playing the Samba-like Rhythm on this song! Simply listening to your backing track and getting a feel for that rhythm was what helped it “click” in my mind in terms of how to play it. I’ll upload it to the blog soon after I get back home.

LOL–thanks Sxpoet Not sure how you put that little Airplane on your message. I’ll be back home ASAP. Believe me…….wish I was already there. On the upside, it’s been good to see old family and friends and they love the Sax playing. My nephew, Nathan, is a hard core Rock and Roll guitar player. Ever heard of that country song “The Devil Went Down the Georgia” that is played on the Violin? He plays that song on his Electric Guitar! I can give you some youtube links of him playing, including when the played at “Battle of the Bands” and got 2nd in the entire state of New Mexico–the winning band won a recording contract and a new Van…they came so, so close.
Talking about my Nephew and his band, another plus is that I’ve been going to a few of their band practices as my schedule has permitted and getting some good experience being around live guitar and drum players. They’ve also taught me a lot about chords and chord progression….a HUGE learning curve for me to help me out in my own Improvisation. His drummer, who is very, VERY fast, has helped me improve in the way of Tempo–if you notice in my last couple of Uploads I got slightly ahead of the beat near the end of the song. Johnny’s ebook on Killer Blues has been right on the money and helped me to “blend in” with them I guess you could say. It’s not easy being away from home, but I’m taking back with me some valuable experience too.
Don’t let my present circumstances let you get withdraw symptoms my friend! I need to see your uploads too. 🙂

I just didn’t want you loosing money, $7 doesn’t seem like much and you could easily charge a lot more for your backing tracks/sheet music…I have all of your backing tracks/sheet music and that all adds up if I we’re just to give it to someone for nothing…he wants more of your stuff and I jokingly said to him to get off his lazy butt and buy them himself; or better yet become a member too LOL
