Getting that buzz in the sound. Same mouthpiece and reed. Fiber carbon Onyx. Medium. I put the mic right in front of the horn bell. I turned the interface gain off. I used the gain on my ribbon preamp. I tied my ribbon mic onto a reflector shield and tied it to the horn in front of the bell. That way I could move the horn around as I read the music. I use three music stands. I had to adjust the preamp gain since the mic was so close to the bell. I played and recorded all day. I did get more buzz. Will work on it more tomorrow. Charlie Parker practiced all day. I’ll do the same.

ya makes sense about the mic distance….my mic is always 3 to 6 feet away from my bell
