Hi Everyone, living in Victoria. BC, been playing a rental Yamaha tenor, for about six months now, and am thoroughly enjoying it. So starting the sax later in life, but already have a background in piano and guitar, which I believe will prove useful. Find I enjoy the type of people I meet in the sax community, and I like the way that learning the sax opens me up to the whole world of horn players. For instance, I pay more attention now to sax and trumpet solos. Now I know who Johnny is, and Michael Brecker, and Jan Garbarek. Hope to meet up with a good teacher for casual lessons from time to time, as I also enjoy learning on my own. Wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a good 2012 for musical pursuits.
