I am an avid Bach Trumpet player and on my bucket list is to learn the piano and the saxophone. Well, I am taking lessons for both at the moment. I have a new P. Mauriat System 76 2nd. edition with rose-colored or cognac dark lacquer. It is an Alto sax. I am about four weeks into my lessons and having the time of my life. The fingerings are fairly easy, but the mouth embouchure is a real treat. I am looking forward to when “How To Play Saxophone” opens enrollment because I am going to sign up.

Hi Robert – am glad to see you’re here!

Welcome mate, and, wishing you much success in your chosen fields of endeavour i.e. twinkling and honkin’.
Good tip i found on line is to purse your lips up and hold a pen horizontally before you go to bed at night.
Start slow maybe 20 secs and build it up to about three mins being to develop your sax embouchure.

        All the best,
        Mark
        🙂
