Here’s the link – being if you are so inclined:
http://impromastering.com/tunes
It works like this –
Tap in an artist – or song – on the content box, say for example, Gerry Mulligan
or
say, Fly me to the moon
Up pops a music chart for ya edification. Howzat!!
Howz this too – top RHS you can change the key to suit 1 or 5 steps up
[concert / sax]
LHS you can print offa the PDF file
it only works for composers ‘though
and pretty well jazz orientated
some symbols to learn, anyways it’s all there
eg
A-7 the bar means minor7
circle with a slash thru it means minor 7 with a flattened fifth
triangle means major 7
way cool !!!!
check it out for your reeding pleasure
happy days
🙂
wow thanks, that’s a cool site that could be very useful.
No worries @Johnny am only to pleased to help.
Here’s how i got into it, Keymaster –
down the sailing club talking to my jazz guitar buddy, his name is John too
he had a newish guitar out to strum on’ – being a spanky Ibanez George Benson hollowtop
very spunky and ever so sweet, wow, finished in ash blonde and in mint cond
relates he’s got twenty new songs to learn in two weeks for an upcoming gig with the jazz club
no piano player on the night, so he has to carry the rythmn with the drummer, & there’s a double bass, trumpet and coronet
hey man you’ll be interested in this he says, and shows me the rep
hmm i says whats these ticks and dots means next to all the tunes mean??
ok, apparently the dots are where he has downloaded the song from you tube to make an mp3, then to data stick
the ticks he has downloaded the impromastering.com chart from site, or made his own music map
aha i reckon, so knowing you John you’ve probably played all these tunes ten times over by now huh?
‘and the rest’ he says, and rolls his eyes ..
lotsa tools available for us all theseadays and do trust you find that one is very rousing to use for you
i really love your style mate you are a humble man and not a fatheaded know it all dude
thanks Johhny
