Wooh hoo hoo cool for catz Johnny, your Jukebox section in the Premium Membership is hot, hot, hot!!
It’s gonna be my favourite part of the new look site, and, what a fantastic education you provide.
Thanking you in anticipation. Man i dig those crazy tunes. Thanks for sharing!! You beauty.

Itz the dawn of a whole new thang!! Blow us away, in a edifying fashion, naturally. Toot toot.

Says Benjamin Franklin, there is gold in the teeth of the morning.

So, anyways, i got talking with my old jazz guitarist friend yesty, he used to play the alto sax for a year.
He got up to playing “Give a Little Bit” by Supertramp, but then he swapped his sax for an amp.
Apparently he needed a new amp in a hurry. Looked a bit misty eyed in regaling that tale.

Coupla things. He was telling me the best time to practice is first thing in the morning.
Get up and have a cuppa tea – then do a coupla hrs practice. OK.
Coz that’s when there is more oxygen in your brain. The best time to learn.
At night, the old brainbox is tired and so do your songs then, good for motor skills.
Write the songs out in longhand and make a musical map. Then play at least ten times.
At one hundred times you might even start to be learning the song properly.
Itz gonna take at least a thousand hours to get anywhere. 3 hrs a day for 12 mths.
At age 19 apparently Charlie Parker had 18,000 hrs up.
That’s before the house band drummer threw a cymbal on the dance floor for his out of key style.

Next we raved about busking, ‘n i said in a few years i might be able to go busking. Watch out world.
He’s done heapsa busking, important thing is consistency, some days you’ll make $8 an hr othertimes 50.
Find a street corner is best, more passing traffic. You only need a coupla tunes.
Best busker he ever saw was this old dude dressed in a three piece pin stripe suit.
Threadbare suit. Frayed shirt cuffs. Expensive scuffed shoes.
Played tunes we all know like “Fly me to the moon” and “Stand by me”. ie easily recognizable airs.
Trick was to play a few bars then pause. Like, really pause.
OMG! you’d be thinkin’!! is the old bastard gonna fall off his perch right here and now?? no, no, no ..
It’s the sympathy vote as opposed to street theatre.
Old mate walks up to the gent to chuck a gold coin in his collection. Good gig ya got there buddy he says.
Fella looks at him knowingly. He knew what he meant. There ya goes. it grows as it goes.

Closing 2day, gotta give some Lip service to this bloke, he waffles on a bit ‘eh, check it out from 06:23 –
