Not so much a problem as an observation from a novice, Man these Horns take a lot of cleaning! so many nooks and crannies to get into. How often do you folks lubricate the linkages? I’m thinking about buying shares in polish and Cotton buds. I do like a shiny Horn.

Hi Carl. I oil the linkages about once a year with trumpet valve oil, but the most important thing to do, is to dry the sax completely before putting it away in it’s case. I use a BG pull-through cloth after playing, ‘rolled up tight’ for the neck, and ‘unfolded / loose’ for the body. You can use a micro-fibre cloth to wipe away the dust and finger prints.
