Yesterday I practiced on my Tenor a Yamaha YTS-62 number 042321 and wondered about its weight. According to the kitchen scale it is 3,6kg exactly (fully assembled). Does anyone have a newer version of this sax? I was wondering if the construction has become lighter over time. What would a Bari weigh in at?
My Alto YAS-26 seems to be smaller and lighter each time I play it – LOL!
Don’t know Jeff but how much would a Yanagasawa weight? thats what I have a alto.
Hi Wayne – my generous friend from Chicago! I’ve just weighed my Yamaha Alto YAS-26 @ 2,420kg, so that’s around 1,2kg less than my Tenor.
Perhaps Jake will tell us what his Bari weighs?
Hey Jeff Whats shakin???Sir you are correct I’m from Chicago ,what’s that translate in lbs.?? Is that a Pit Bull puppy for your pic.??
Hi Wayne. To convert to lbs multiply by 2.205 so my YAS-26 would be 5.3 lbs.
No, this puppy is an Amstaff, I couldn’t find a regular Staffie pup at a reasonable price.
He was born on 11-11-2015 and for a better picture see the post
woah – same birthday as me !
I know it’s often recommended to start playing an instrument at an early age but gosh sxpoet your doing well at only 2 months! đ (apologies, couldn’t resist)
lol – i play like a 2 month old!
Your puppy is beautiful, still missing my little baby Phoebe she passed on11/6/15 she was a French Bull Dog, I’m trying to channel my pain into my horn and drums.God bless our fur babies!Sorry Rich forgot to mention your name i have a soft spot for dogs!
I know how you feel Wayne, I still miss my previous staffie – Wilbur, who died of old age just before midnight on 31st December 2007.
My previous dog avatar was a little prophetic, because I now have a full grown Rottweiler and a little pup.
They tend to stare at each other in the same way as those two dogs in the picture.
Dogs are wonderful animals.
