With the use of the computer my son and I created this edited Super Freak backing track for an upcoming project, just like we did for the Green Onions. I’ve been listening closely to the solo and seems pretty easy to break down..I’ve been in the mood lately to break down solos and transcribe them. There’s a lot that can be learned from solos like this for sure! I guess maybe I got in that mood because of breaking down the Brown Sugar in Killer Blues that I’ve been doing in my lessons 🙂 I believe this song of Super Freak is in Am, so that means for Tenor I need to play it in B minor.
We still have some minor things to work out with this Track. My Instrumental version will include the main melody, Improvisation of my own with the Pentatonic Scale and it will end with the famous solo 🙂 Let me know how you think this track is coming along–any suggestions for Improvement is appreciated.
