Says Google, “Bésame Mucho” (“Kiss Me a Lot”) was written in 1941 by Consuelo Velasquez, who was about 15 years old at the time, in bolero style. Inspired by the Nightingale Aria from the opera “Goyescas” by Enrique Granados, she said that she had never been kissed when she wrote the song.
The story of the song ‘ Besame Mucho ‘
– It is one of the most popular songs of the 20th century and one of the most important in the history of Latin music.
– It was recognized in 1999 as the most recorded and covered Spanish song of all time.
– Famous versions were sung by Cesaria Evora, the Trio Los Panchos and the singer Gigliola Cinquetti in 1968, and by Dalida in 1976.
– The English lyrics were written by Sunny Skylar.

Thanks Mark, always appreciate your comments and back ground to the songs. I am using my Otto link number 5 MP with a medium Fiberreed (Hemp model) reed (Johnny uses Fiberreeds) and my YTS 23 Yami.
They really are great reeds and they last for a very long time, will never go back to cane. Getting ready to record another song I just got from Johnny,”Always on my mind”
almost ready to go. There are a couple of bars in the song that appear to be written for a GLISSANDO, they really sound pretty cool. Stay tuned. Leo
Well done Leo 👌😀
Thanks Mel
Nice job, Pete
Thanks Leo, could be better.
one of my favourites! thanks for sharing Leo!
Wow that goes way way back, not even with Ringo on the drums!
