Tenor saxophone help?
i have a used Helmke tenor sax that i just recently startedplaying about a week ago. ive played clarinet for 5-6 years. and for some reason, i cannot play anything in the lower register lower than a B. i cant play a Bb either. i dont know why i cant. i either get an uneven weird sound, i play in the upper register, or no sound at all. help?
Yes it might be your air flow, you need to really fill a tenor to get down there. But before you go crazy have your horn checked out for leaks.. even the smallest leak in a pad can make it really tough to get those low notes on the tenor. Learn more… http://howtoplaysaxophone.org/your-sax
