Soul Serenade is a King Curtis original and instrumental hit from 1964. Also done later as a vocal version by Aretha Franklin, who’s band was lead by King Curtis until the time of his death in 1971. Besides the studio version there is also a longer more improvised version recorded live at the Fillmore West, also from 1971.

Our version for download here is written in the concert key of A flat major. This puts the tenor sax in B flat major and the alto sax in F major.
