Octave key G squeak (top of the staff G)

I have had trouble for a long time landing on G2 (G with the octave key) and having it squeak on my Selmer Ref 54 tenor. Trilling an interval from C3 down to G2 usually always squeaks. If I break the airstream and retongue the G2 it works ok. None of the other notes have this problem. I have had the octave key mechanism looked at by a couple of different repair shops and they can’t find a problem. I know this is a tricky octave key mechanism since it switches tone holes between G2 and A2 going up. Harder reeds seem to make problem worse. Anyone else have this problem?
